The Native Sons Salt Games

http://www.thesaltgames.com/

The Native Sons Salt Games is a FREE all day beach event meant to entice tourists and show off local talent and what life in Myrtle Beach is all about. The day will start off with a Yoga Sit In in Plyler Park on the boardwalk followed by a Paddleboard Race, Kids’ Run, 2 Man Pro Beach Volley tournament, Tug-O-War, Bikini Contest, CrossFit Competition, and our feature event – The Lifeguard Games featuring all lifeguards from six beach services battling each other in a relay race and one on one drills. The event will also include Chief Kamu’s Fire Dancers, a Moonlight Concert Series featuring Jah Creation and Ten Toes Up, a half-pipe for anyone to enjoy and much more!

This event is unlike anything Myrtle Beach has ever seen and our goal is to provide local athletes with an outlet to show their stuff and allow tourists the opportunity to participate and engage in what locals get to enjoy on a daily basis. Everyone is encouraged to compete!

The proceeds of this event will benefit The Surfrider Foundation of the Grand Strand.

While some events may carry a registration fee, it is completely free to attend and cheer on the competitors.
